They&#8217;re restricted to Papua New Guinea.&nbsp;The habitat where they live is actually extremely endangered; less than 6% of the forest is still standing. They live and thrive in extremely hot places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Swallowtail butterflies have&nbsp;large, colorful wings, patterned with black and yellow or black and white. They have a distinctive tail on their hindwings, which gives them their name.
